A Special Delivery to Kenya

July 25, 2019

One of our Optimization and Upgrades (OAU) Loveland team recently travelled over 8,800 miles to deliver charitable donations to Kenya.

Jim Nichols is an ECOMAX® Project Engineer at OAU in Loveland, Colorado and earlier this year he travelled to two schools in Kenya to hand deliver a donation of toys and books that OAU collected. The first was a school and orphanage for boys in rural Kenya. The founder of the school, Reverend Connie, arranged the trip that Jim was a part of, and she is also a director of several charities that support the school.

After this visit they moved on to a slum school in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The slum school is the size of a typical four bedroom house and provides education for 277 students!

The art supplies, books, games and toys were all delivered and gratefully received.
