Cycling For Safety

A team of outdoor activity enthusiasts from Lubliniec, Poland recently took part in their 7th Annual Safety Bicycle Ride. The event is organized by the Lubliniec HSE team and aims to teach the participants more about safety whilst promoting a healthy and active lifestyle as well as having fun!

The event is very popular among employees and this year was no exception. 80 members of the team, their families and friends attended and took part in activities such as cycling and canoeing.

The participants cycled and canoed across the beautiful areas of the Silesia and Opole provinces, travelling a total distance of 25km on their bikes and sailing a distance of 10km in canoes.

The participants were also joined by some special guests; paramedics from the local hospital attended and completed a first aid demonstration with a Laerdal Little Anne QCPR Manikin. They also completed safety tests and conducted blood pressure tests on attendees.

Lastly, there was a kids corner where they were able to enjoy face painting, blowing bubbles and games.

The HSE team in Lubliniec would like to say a huge thank you to all participants and their families for attending and for following all safety rules.
