KTR-EthosEnergy Awarded Certificate of Recognition
July 17, 2019
KTR-EthosEnergy was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition by North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) for valuable HSSE contributions, high quality work and timely delivery.
In November 2013, KTR and EthosEnergy formed a joint venture and signed a Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) with NCOC for the maintenance of critical rotating equipment at Kashagan Oil Field.
KTR-EthosEnergy worked successfully with NCOC to reach full production levels of 400k barrels of oil per day through completion of a turnaround.
The scope included the provision of capital parts, consumables and field services on following equipment:
- 2x Gas Turbine Frame 5002D HGPI
- 1x Gas Turbine SGT600 B Inspection
- 6x RGI Compressor Dry Gas Seal Changeout
- 4x Seal Gas Compressor Overhaul
- 2x MAN Screw Compressors Overhaul
The Kashagan Oil Field is the first large scale offshore petroleum development in Kazakhstan approximately 80km from the town of Atyrau. The project involves a unique combination of technical complexity and environmental challenges. Given the size and variety of operations, this makes it currently one of the greatest challenges of the petroleum industry worldwide. Some of the challenges related to the project include high pressures up to 800 bar, high H2S content up to 15%, water depth is less than 4m and ice bound during the winter season.
KTR-EthosEnergy demonstrated a high degree of quality and safety in their work while mobilizing over 140 people during the turnaround and executing over 45,000 man-hours without a LTI.
The project was completed within the approved schedule and budget and the outstanding achievements by KTR-EthosEnergy were recognized by NCOC with the team delighted to receive a Certificate of Recognition.
