Gas turbine compressor water wash cleaning aims to recover lost performance while improving heat rate and unit availability
Gas turbine compressors consume approximately 60 percent of cycled energy during operation. The compression cycle consumes large quantities of air and despite intake filtration, small quantities of dust, aerosols, and water pass through and deposit onto the blades. These deposits impede airflow through the compressor and degrade the overall performance of the gas turbine over time.
EthosEnergy has developed gas turbine compressor cleaning solutions that aim to recover lost performance while improving heat rate and unit availability.
This EcoValue™ technology has both offline and online options and uses highly atomized water spray patterns designed to completely enter the compressor core.
The patented and highly atomized EcoValue technology is individually configured for each turbine type. This process includes 3D modeling of inlet and nozzle positioning, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to study droplet trajectory and evaluate and confirm nozzle positions. EthosEnergy’s equipment can be made ATEX EEXD Zone-1 classed for refineries and other hazardous area applications. An integrated control panel enables easy user operation.
Water Maker Module
The WaterMaker Module 2.0 is for the production of deionized (DI) water for compressor water wash technology. The components used in the system have been subject to extensive testing for these patented units. The water maker module has been developed in accordance with current and upcoming environmental regulations.
